Question :
I'm having trouble posting my layout(s) in the Shabby Shoppe Gallery. The process seems to complete, but my layout does not show up in the gallery - what am I doing wrong?
Answer :
First, THANK YOU so much for your interest in the Shabby Shoppe’s gallery - we really appreciate it and look forward to seeing your pages :o)

Second...this is generally an easy 'fix' and has everything to do with FILE SIZE :o) Anytime anyone has had issues uploading to our gallery – it is because of size of the file/page being uploaded. We have our gallery upload size set to a max of 2mb (which is quite large by gallery/industry standards)…so, if your file is larger than that, it will not complete the upload process . For posting to online galleries, most will REDUCE their layouts to about 600×600 pixels at 72dpi (screen resolution) and save as a JPG file. Most of the layouts that we upload are under 400k – so I think you’ll see that it will be quite easy to get it under the 2mb limit :o) It’s just a preventive measure to ensure that no one maliciously uploads very large files to eat up our drive space :o). If you would, please double check your layout file size. If over the 2 meg limit, you would just need to re-size it until you get below the threshold (which we will probably be changing to 1mb in the near future)!

Also, SP created a tutorial for resizing your layouts for web:

CLICK HERE (you’ll find one for photoshop and one for photoshop elements)

We hope this helps to answer any uploading questions you may have...GOOD LUCK and again, thanks for posting to the Shoppe's Gallery - we LOOOOOVE seeing what you guys create :o)
